Fota Wildlife Park

Description

Fota Wildlife Park has 40 years of experience in conservation, breeding, education and reintroduction programmes, Fota Wildlife Park (FWP) is ideally suited to participate as a partner in the head-starting programme for the Breeding Wader EIP. Further, our extensive network of educational contacts will allow for the development of cross curricular education programmes run through FWP to fulfil the aims of the EIP brief. With a staff of more than 20 dedicated Animal Care professionals, 5 of these have a combined avicultural experience of more than 70 years of incubation and rearing experience on families such as Strigidae, Tytonidae, Otididae, Pteroclidae, Phoenicopteridae, Gruidae to name but a few.

Role

Fota will play a pivotal role in Headstarting for the Breeding Wader EIP. 

Fota will also be involved in the educational and outreach aspects of the project.
